Byramine Homestead and Cider House
ActivitiesView WebsiteLocated 14 kms west of Yarrawonga and is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Byramine Homestead was built in 1842 by the famous explorer Hamilton Hume and was classified by the National Trust for it unique design. Take a self-guided tour of the homestead, outbuildings and gardens or enjoy devonshire tea, ploughman’s platter or a light lunch in the cafe. There is a small admission fee which includes free tasting in the brewery.
Chinaman’s Island Walking Track
Nature & ParksThis walking track is a nice, easy, short and incredibly scenic wander along Lake Mulwala. For a short round trip of roughly 2km (stating from the Yarrawonga Yacht club). This track is also dog friendly and there is an opportunity for the dogs to swim at the water frontage at the Yacht Club.
Fishing
Nature & ParksLake Mulwala is a manmade reservoir crossing over the Victorian border into NSW and is a great fishing location. The prized catch here is the Murray Cod, however, there is also a great selection of Silver Perch, Golden Perch, Trout Cod, Redfin, Murray Crayfish and Carp. Always carry your Victorian/NSW fishing license with you.
